Who We Are
LINDSEY CLOSE
Owner
Lindsey Close has been riding horses since she was 7 years old and graduated from CSU Fresno with a BS in Animal Science, emphasis Equine Production in 2012. Prior to that, she obtained (2) certificates & (2) AS degrees in Animal Science and Equine Science from Sierra College. Professionally, she is the current Operations Manager at Elk Grove Milling, Inc. (home of Stable Mix horse feeds).
CHAD CLOSE & NORM
Owner
Chad Close joined the Close family tradition of becoming a mason. He is the ranch "handyman" and has completely overhauled the ranch since we purchased it. He is also innovative, constantly improving existing structures or areas to be more efficient - basically if Lindsey breaks it, he fixes it!
While Chad enjoys the horses, the goat herd & donkeys are his forte.

THE DOG SQUAD
Ranch Supervisors
You can't miss our dog squad of heelers - Echo, Foxy, Minnie Mouse, & Duke! We love them dearly even though they have many opinions about all the happenings at Close Ranch. They make great project supervisors, sleeping on the job site, and securing the ranch perimeter. Not to worry, we put them up if we aren't home so they won't be begging you for snacks when you are trying to visit your horse.
