The beginning...

Get to know all about Close Ranch - what we do, our mission and our history.

Where it all started -Lindsey was raised on a small ranchette in wine country of Placer County with horses. She has been riding since 7 years old and has ridden a variety of disciplines within the western and english world. Following her passion of everything equine, she worked at an AQHA and Morgan show horse barn, managed the local feed store, and pursued Equine Science academically.

Right after college graduation, Lindsey met Chad Close, a commercial mason by trade, and he supported her dream of living on acreage. After searching for years, our paradise was found. Close Ranch was established in 2017. From there, Close Ranch has expanded from a hobby farm to a working ranch offering boarding, retirement, rehab, and more. You'll notice Chad's expert touches around the ranch with a concrete wash rack, raised block garden beds, block & stone work around the house, straight/safe fencing, and so much more.

At Close Ranch we feel incredibly lucky that we get to do what we love & share it with others. Our mission is to take great care of your equine partner & ensure that those living out their golden years with us receive the best care until we can help you make further arrangements.
